DJ Sep is the founder, promoter, and main resident DJ at Dub Mission, one of the longest-running club parties in the world. Now 20+ years strong, Dub Mission has been voted the Bay Area's Best Reggae Club three times in the last five years. In 2014, Dub Mission completed in the first Red Bull Music Academy Culture Clash held in San Francisco, the only reggae crew to do so. In addition to being a club DJ, Sep has performed at a variety of private and public events, including weddings, birthdays, publishing parties, museums, and festivals. She has won a Goldie Award (Bay Guardian) and been nominated for Best DJ (SF Weekly Music Awards). For many years, Sep hosted two shows on Bay Area radio: at former college radio station KUSF, and Berkeley's public radio station KPFA. Sep has spun at Besides Red Bull Culture Clash Sep has spun at Silent Disco/Hushfest, OffTheGrid,, How Weird Festival, Festival Raztlan, HempCon, Sunday Streets, California Academy of Sciences, Oakland Museum of Art, and venues throughout the Bay Area. She has also performed in London, Vancouver, Tijuana, New York, Washington DC, Miami, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, and Portland. In addition to producing more than 1000 shows, Sep has opened for Lee "Scratch" Perry, Sly & Robbie, The Wailers, Quantic, Culture, Mad Professor, King Yellowman, Big Youth, Les Nubians, Rachid Taha, Kinky, The Cinematic Orchestra and many others.
